Please find attached the meeting minutes for the October 26 and 27, 2005, field trip with NCDOT and local
government representatives to look at the project area and discuss applicable typical sections and other
potential improvements for analysis in the study.
Also attached are the meeting minutes for the June 2, 2005, kick-off meeting for the Collaborative
Alternatives Development Process.
We are hoping to hold the next meeting to discuss potential conceptual alternatives that NCDOT has prepared for
widening NC 12 and US 158 before the end of February. (Concepts are prepared prior to more-detailed functional
designs on some projects that involve more extensive coordination with local government agencies because of
the potential for more substantial impacts to the local communities.) We will be contacting you shortly to try and
arrange a date that is convenient for all participants for the next meeting.
