9. NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION: The proposed project is located on
SR 1301, approximately 12 miles north of Cash Corner #2, on
a tributary of Dawson Creek, in Pamlico County. The
proposed project is.to replace existing Bridge #22 with two
(2) 55' x 10' culverts. Upstream from the bridge, the creek
has been channelized to improve agricultural drainage and is
navigable for approximately 300 yards. Downstream from the
bridge, the area immediately adjacent to the creek is wooded
swamp.
10. ANTICIPATED IMPACTS: The project as proposed will fill
approximately 1,625 square feet of inland waters with two
(2) 55' x 10' culverts and place approximately 225 cubic
yards below mean high water. One Hundred and Seventy (170)
cubic yards of sand and muck will be removed from below
water level for placement of the fill.
Approximately 1,625 sq. ft. of previously disturbed
bottomland will also be excavated and filled. No coastal
wetlands are involved in this project.

PAGE #2
9. NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION: The proposed project is located on
SR 1301, approximately 12 miles north of Cash Corner #2, on
a tributary of Dawson Creek, in Pamlico County. The
proposed project is to replace existing Bridge #22 with two

(2) 55' x 10' culverts and place approximately 225 cubic
yards below mean high water. One Hundred and Seventy (170)
cubic yards of sand and muck will be removed from below
water level for placement of the fill.
Approximately 1,625 sq. ft. of previously disturbed
bottomland will also be excavated and filled. No coastal
wetlands are involved in this project.
