Project Summary The applicants propose to replace an existing span with a new bridge across the creek. DOT-DOH - Bridge # 175 Page Two 9. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project is located on NC 133 at the crossing of Jackeys Creek. The creek in this area is approximately 40' wide and is tidal. There is an existing bridge span which crosses the creek and appears to allow for small boat navigation. The waters are classified a C-swamp and are designated as inland waters. The applicants propose to remove the existing bridge and will replace it with a new structure. The dimensions of the structure will be approximately 95' long x 30' wide. The application states that no wetlands will be excavated or filled by the proposed activity. 10. ANTICIPATED IMPACTS In order to maintain the possibility of navigation in the stream the same width and height clearances should be provided by the new structure. Submitted by: C.
