Subject: Inspection-NCSR 1102
Pearson Falls Road
DWQ Project 08-1020
TIP No. B-4239
Henderson County
Dear Mr. Setzer:
On September 3, 2009, I inspected the construction work at the new bridge site on NCSR 1102, Pearson Falls
Road in Henderson County. Construction work appears to be going well. One of the new end bents was
almost completed. The erosion and sedimentation control structures, vegetative covering, and matting appear
to be working properly.
Please continue to ensure that all sediment and erosion control structures are maintained and that seeding and
mulching are performed as needed to protect downstream waters. A copy of the inspection report is attached
to this letter.
If you have questions, please call me at 828-296-4500.

Additional comments:
Reviewed project with DOT staff. Construction is underway on both end bents with one side almost complete.
Sediment and erosion control structures appear to be working properly. Seeding and/or matting should be
performed as needed.
Maintain erosion control devices and continue with seeding and matting as required to protect State surface
waters.
