On 30 April 1997, you requested a 401 Water Quality Certification from the Division
of Water Quality for your project (commercial construction) located near NC 194 and US
421 in Watauga County. We understand from a conversation with Mr. Steve Chapin of the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that you have decided to withdraw this application. Unless
we receive a response from you by 15 May 1997, we will consider that you have
withdrawn this application and are not interested in pursuing the project at this time.
