The applicant proposes to fill .10 acres of wetlands for a wood deck. This activity is within CAMA jurisdiction and will require a CAMA major permit, not a Nationwide Permit #18. The wetlands to be filled are contiguous to wetlands adjacent to the canal. The wood deck is not a water dependent activity and the applicant should position it in an upland area. 1424 Carolina Avenue, Washington, North Carolina 27889 Telephone 919-946-6481 FAX 919-946-3716 An Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer MEMO DATE: TO: SUBJECT: _ r ? ? far ri.?
