Ian,
I have reviewed Hilltop Estate - here are my comments:
Please show contour lines on the plan view for the level spreaders so that DWQ can
evaluate if appropriate slopes are present and if level spreaders are being placed
parallel to contour lines.
The bypass channel associated with level spreader number 1 should be configured to
enter the stream at an angle to reduce erosion during large storm events. In
addition, the bypass channel should be directed to a pool in the stream if possible.
Please provide the hydrologic calculations that were used to determine the maximum
discharges to the level spreaders.
Please provide time/date stamped, labeled photos of existing vegetative conditions
in Zone 2. Level spreaders must be sized appropriately considering the vegetation
in the entire filter strip between the level spreader and the stream.
