NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION: Applicant's property is an 8,400 sq. ft. developed tract located on Front Street, Taylor's Creek, in Beaufort, Carteret County. The property has an existing "Gulf" service station and a dock with fuel pumps. The applicant proposes to construct a 10' wide x 105' long pier with a 10' x 77' fixed 'L' on the waterward end and a 6' x 77' floating dock midway along the main pier. The existing fuel pumps will remain in approximately the same location. The applicant also proposes to construct an approximately 77' x 29' plus 13' x 35' deck for a total of 2,688 sq. ft. of deck. Water depths around the proposed dock are -15' MSL at the waterward end. The proposed docks will not exceed the established pier line. 10. ANTICIPATED IMPACTS: The project will occupy approximately 4,970 sq. ft. of public trust waters with the deck and piers. The project will not exceed the established pier line.
