(.036 acre) DAVIS YACHTS, INC. BIO REPORT PAGE 2 SITE EVALUATION The applicant proposes to construct a fabric, cover over a 40' X 40' area of an existing boat basin. The cover will consist of dual arched canopies, such covering 20' X 401. The sides will be open. Each canopy will be stretched over semi-circular hoops, and supported by six pilings. Between the inner sets of pilings will be a 4' X 40' "catwalk" or pier. The purpose of the cover is to allow work on the exterior of boats during inclement weather. Yachts nearing completion are moored in the basin for final "detail work". The site is an existing boat basin that is approximately 140' X 200' X -5'. The sides of the basin are bulkheaded. A concrete apron about ten feet wide surrounds three sides of the basin. No vegetation or wetlands are present. ANTICIPATED IMPACTS The proposed development will have no significant impact on the environment. CAMA REVIEW The proposed development is consistent with the Dare County LUP and State regulations.
