Sediment and erosion control program looks good although some sediment control structures need attention. Some attention is needed to repair areas that have washed along the roadway and rills in cut slopes. These areas are mainly in the middle part of the project. At the present time the heavy construction work is taking place at the north and south ends of the project in the large rock cut areas. Please ensure that the sediment and erosion control structures are maintained and that seeding and mulching are performed as required to protect State surface waters.
