(S&ME) received your letter dated December 29, 2008 for the above referenced project. S&ME is pleased to submit four (4) additional copies of the pennit application for a Nationwide Permit No. 18. Please also find attached the $570 fee since greater- than an acre of temporary pond bottom wetland impacts are proposed during the construction phase of this project. "'rt~f ??rTt3RP= WF i LANDS AND ST0Ra4N a ® REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION ® PERMITTING FEE MISSING/INCORRECT Dear Mr. Wilson: On December 16, 2008, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated December 10-, 2008 for the above referenced project. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive five copies of the additional information requested below, we will have to move toward denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H.0506 and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. Please provide the following information and/or fee so that we may continue to review your project. Additional Information Requested: NW 18 (GC3705) states, "written approval is required from the Division of Water Quality ("the Division") when the proposed activity meets the following criteria": ® Wetland impacts (temporary and/or permanent) equal to or greater than one-tenth (1/10) acre West of Interstate 95 (I-95); total stream impacts equal to or greater than 150 linear feet of intermittent and/or perennial stream to be filled, culverted, rip rapped, relocated, including temporary and/or permanent impacts. ® The fee for applications is $240 for projects impacting less than an acre of wetland and less than 150 linear feet of streams (whether intermittent or perennial). For projects impacting one or more acres of wetland or 150 or more feet of streams (whether intermittent or perennial), the fee is $570. Please remit $570. ® DWQ requires five (5) complete application sets to begin the review and approval process. Please contact this office in writing. If we do not hear from you within three weeks, we will assume that you no longer want to pursue this project and we will consider the project as returned. This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application are not authorized (at this time) by the DWQ.
