APPROVAL OF STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN
The Division of Water Quality (DWQ) has reviewed the Stormwater Management Plan (SMP) dated
October 31, 2008 along with the notarized operation and maintenance agreement received by DWQ on
November 4, 2008, and subsequent revision dated November 6, 2008, and received by DWQ on
November 10, 2008, prepared by your engineer Mr. Jeffrey Nobles, PE, of Larry King & Associates. The
DWQ approves this plan to satisfy the stormwater condition in the 401 Water Quality Certification GC
3705. You are required to meet the following conditions:
1. As agreed upon, the planting plan, received by DWQ on November 10, 2008, for the constructed
wetlands will be modified such that inkberry (Ilex glabra) replaces wax myrtle (Morella
cerifera).
The stormwater management system, which includes two constructed wetland BMPs and all
associated appurtenances as approved by this office, and the drainage patterns depicted on the
plan sheets, must be maintained in perpetuity, No changes to the structural stormwater facilities
shall be made without written authorization from the Division of Water Quality. The stormwater
management structures shall have maintenance access and at least 10-foot drainage easement on
each side to allow for the ability to maintain the structures, and to perform corrective actions.
3. Notification of Construction: The applicant and/or authorized agent shall contact the DWQ
Express Review Program in writing at the letterhead address within ten (10) days of the
commencement of construction.
This letter completes the review of the Division of Water Quality under Section 401 of the Clean Water
