That’s why a project as important as the Atlantic Coast Pipeline isn’t built overnight. Rather, this project has gone through nearly three years of careful planning and thorough scrutiny from agencies and organizations at every level. That review process has helped the ACP become the safest way for us to get affordable cleaner natural gas to those in our region who desperately need it. Between consulting water and terrain experts, evaluating thousands of miles of potential routes, and making hundreds of route adjustments to avoid environmentally sensitive areas, review of the ACP has proceeded in a responsible fashion. I ask that you acknowledge this process and do not postpone your approval. A copy of this letter will be sent to my local, state and federal elected officials.
