WATER WATER SHALL BE FREE FROM SUBSTANCES HARMFUL TO GROWTH OF GRASS. MOW GRASS AT REGULAR INTERVALS TO A MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF 3 INCHES. HAND CLIP WHERE NECESSARY. CONTROL GROWTH OF WEEDS. APPLY HERBICIDES IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS. PROVIDE EQUIPMENT TO TRANSPORT AND DISTRIBUTE THE WATER TO THE SEEDED AREAS. AREAS SEEDED BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 1 AND NOVEMBER 1 NEED NOT BE IRRIGATED BEYOND THE INITIAL WATERING SPECIFIED ABOVE EXCEPT THAT THE CONTRACTOR MAY APPLY WATER AT HIS OWN DISCRETION. SEEDING SCHEDULE EROSION CONTROL CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE 1. CLEAR SITE ONLY AS NECESSARY TO INSTALL EROSION CONTROL DEVICES AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS. 2. NOTIFY ENGINEER AND NCDENR, LAND QUALITY SECTION (910-433-3300) FOR SITE INSPECTION PRIOR TO COMMENCING MAIN CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS. 3. ONCE EROSION CONTROL DEVICES ARE APPROVED, BEGIN CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS. 4. MAINTAIN EROSION CONTROL DEVICES AS NECESSARY DURING CONSTRUCTION. INSPECT DEVICES AFTER EVERY RAINFALL EVENT AND REMOVE ACCUMULATED SEDIMENT WHEN HALF FULL. RECORD INSPECTION ON STORM WATER INSPECTION FORMS. SUBMIT FORMS EACH MONTH WITH PAY REQUEST. 5. AS CONSTRUCTION PROGRESSES, INSTALL ADDITIONAL EROSION CONTROL DEVICES AS NEEDED OR DIRECTED BY ENGINEER. 6. SEED AND MULCH DISTURBED AREA WITHIN FIFTEEN (15) WORKING DAYS: A. UPON COMPLETION OF ANY PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION. B. WHEN WORK WILL NOT PROCEED IN AN AREA WITHIN THE ABOVE TIME FRAME. 7. AFTER SITE IS STABILIZED, REQUEST AN INSPECTION BY THE ENGINEER.
