Kevin:
Not for mitigation, but it got put in my box so I looked at it anyway. Wow. 525 LF of trout stream
impounded without a permit.
Totally inadequate plan. No real description of channel restoration or stabilization techniques, or
re-establishment of riffle-pool sequence. I don't see any indication of the proposed use of live stakes.
I assume from Sheet R-5 that they are using matting, but they should probably live stake.
Also, they are proposing the use of some exotic vegetation for the riparian zone/trout buffer, including
Nellie Stevens Holly, Forsythia (I don't think that is native), and Japanese sarissa (probably not
native). Also, if this is to be a trout stream, what are they doing planting pondweed and water lilies?
I think they should be required to complete some type of monitoring for this site.
Not my business, but since it was in my box.....
See you Friday.

Sheet R-6, they are proposing permanent seeding with fescue. They should NOT use fescue within the
trout buffer! ! !
