We are trying to come up with a way the cut back our impacts to the wetlands to keep from having to mitigate. We are waiting on a design from Contech for the largest culvert to see if the cost of the culvert would be less than paying to mitigate. A question I had for you was is there a fee associated with the stream impact that you asked me to include? If so, is there a linear foot threshold that I could stay below? Please advise. We review requests on Tuesdays and so if you would, please complete the request form located on the DMS Website. http: // portal. ncdenr. org /web /eep /mitigation - applicants I can then provide you with an acceptance letter for Kyle to use as he reviews your permit application. Once the permits are issued I provide an invoice based on the mitigation required by the COE /DWR. For this area, you would be looking at the lower fees that are listed on the Web page for wetlands- but we don't take a payment until after it's permitted and invoiced. You will need to confirm with Kyle which wetland type is being impacts- riparian or non - riparian.... you would use the quarter acre price to estimate the total cost. I hope this helps -just email me the form once you have it completed and signed.
