The water level was down about 2.3 ft to 2.5 ft allowing for full substrate exposure and viewing of the substrate. Upon our inspection we found no beds of submerged aquatic vegetation (SAVs) within the proposed pier and docking area as well as along any area of the proposed bulkhead. Any dark colored areas shown in the photograph are areas of clay substrate exposed by historical erosion of the highground bank. For reference points in the photographs: Photograph #1: shows a view looking northwest from the middle of the shoreline The remnants of a tractor are in the foreground and logs further northwest, No SAVs were found in this area. Photograph #2: Shows a view of the proposed pier and docking area No SAVs were found in this area. The dark areas in the foreground are where local kids were riding ATVs on the exposed substrate Photograph #3 shows a close up picture of the ridged sandy substrate very close to the location of the proposed pier and docking with no SAVs in approximately 2-3 inches of water which remained on the substrate. Photograph #4- shows a view just to the north of the proposed pier location area revealing no SAVs All other photographs are just additional evidence if needed for your records. All dark patches shown on this photographs are dark detritus that blew in prior to the storm or are the exposure of the clay/loam stratigraphy exposed by he historical erosion at the site. Let me know if you need any further evidence or supporting data for determination on the SAV survey. I feel that this photographic evidence would be better than a survey saying NO SAYS.
