Major 401 Water Quality Certification
Extension of Mitigation Payment
Dear Mr. McMillan:
As we discussed this afternoon, the 401 Water Quality Certification for the Lake
Townsend Dam Replacement Project requires mitigation payment to the Ecosystem
Enhancement Program (EEP) by July 13, 2007 (within one month of permit
issuance). The applicant has not received the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Individual 404 Permit and therefore, respectfully requests an extension for
mitigation payment until the Corps' 404 Permit is issued, prior to construction
within impact areas, and no later than November 9, 2007 as specified in the EEP
mitigation acceptance letter.
