Subject: RE: Wayne Co. 70/581 Restoration Plan Approval
Katie,
Hey I've asked David to go ahead and send you the contact info as requested. I'm presuming you're planning on
contacting them directly right? Perhaps you can get an immediate answer from them which is great but at this point I'm
really concerned that we've already lost another 18 days since you approved the Deed Restriction verbiage and we still
don't have an approved Restoration Plan.
We really don't have any feel for whether or not they'll even take it at this point or not, never mind five years from
now. For all we know even if they say they'll take it now they may very well change their mind later.
Hopefully sorting through this with Wayne County will give you an answer one way or another.
Honestly I'm a bit confused as to why we've went through all the effort to get the Deed Restriction document put
together (approved by our client, reviewed by DWQ, modified per DWQ comments, reviewed and approved again by our
client) if we're going to keep trying to find someone to accept an easement. I thought that by getting Deed Restriction
together in the first place was because we'd reasonably exhausted the other options.
I'm not trying to be short about the issue but it seems that we're rehashing old news. I hope you understand our
position. We'd really like to get the plan approved as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Patrick

Subject: Wayne Co. 70/581 Restoration' Plan Approval
Katie,
I've been corresponding with representatives from NRCS in Goldsboro regarding acceptance of the 70/581 conservation
easement. As of today, we still have not heard a decision from them one way or the other (I sent another follow -up e-
mail earlier today requesting an update). We'd really like to go ahead and obtain your approval, if possible, to move
forward with the buffer planting before the year moves too far along and we're out of the planting season. Is there any
way you can give us the approval without a decision from NRCS? We've tried several avenues to get an easement
accepted already and seem to be spinning our wheels on it a bit.
Thanksl
