Dear Sir or Madam:
On May 4, 2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated April 19, 2007, to
fill or otherwise impact 301inear feet of perennial stream to construct the proposed residential
subdivision. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate
information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in order to process your
application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property. Therefore, unless we
receive five copies of the additional information requested below, we will have to move toward denial of
your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506 and will place this project on hold as incomplete
until we receive this additional information. Please provide the following information so that we may
continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
L Please show all stream. impacts including all. fill slopes, dissipaters, and bank stabilization.
2. Please provide cross section details showing the provisions for aquatic life pasage.
3. Section VI, No. 1, refers to "the installation of 1 30 foot culvert that will be buried 6-12"into
the streambed unless bedrock is encountered at the sur°face." Please clearly indicate this
impact as there are numerous culverts an the site plan and the stream location is not clear.
Also, please show all stream. impacts at a scale of 1"=50' with stream contours clearly shown
on the site plan.
4. Please complete Section X1 Stormwater. "N/A" is not an acceptable response.
Please contact the DWQ within three weeks of the date of this letter to verify that you have received this
letter and to provide us with a date that we may expect to receive this requested information. If we do not
receive this requested information within one week of the date you indicate it will be forthcoming, your
project will be withdrawn and you will need to reapply with a new application and a new fee. Please
contact me in writing and Kevin Barnett of the DWQ Asheville Regional Office. If we do not hear from
