The Division of Water Quality hereby amends Certification No 3185 issued to the North Carolina Department of
Transportation on April 20 1998 This amendment is for approval to reconstruct 587 linear feet of relocated stream
channel (designated as site 4) along US 421 as requested in a letter dated February 24 2005 The reconstruction of the
stream will adhere to the original natural channel design approved for mitigation for this project
