Subject: Dillsboro Hydroelectric Project's Post-Dam Removal Water Quality Monitoring
Mr. Dorney:
The routinely collected May 2011 data (i.e., under normal flow conditions) are enclosed as
required by the 401 Water Quality Certification. I realize the last several monthly reports have
been unusually late. This has been somewhat due to the length of time it has been taking to get
the TSS results from the lab. Generally, I wait for all the data before sending. I am working on
reducing the time that it takes to get the TSS data from the lab so that I can provide you with a
more timely report. If this is a problem, I can send the Hydro lab generated data earlier and then
send the TSS results when I get them. If you have questions or concerns regarding these data,
please do not hesitate to give me a call at 704/382-0805.
