Dear Mr. Murphy:
The Asheville Regional Office is in receipt of the LPA Group, Incorporated application to relocate / culvert
1,988 feet of Ricket Branch in Cherokee County for the Andrews-Murphy Airport extension. Additional
information is required before further processing of this application can occur.
Detailed plan drawings of the box culverts must be provided. These plans must be dimensional, including
both profile and placement information, and indicate any headwall / stream bank stabilization to occur in
relation to this piece of the project.
A justification for the use of Conner Mill Branch, located in Haywood County, as a reference reach for the
proposed restoration of Ricket Branch must be provided.
An explanation of how the restored segment of Ricket Branch will be "preserved" (such as deed restrictions,
conservation easements, etc...) must be submitted.
You must submit the requested information to my attention at the letterhead address, post marked no later than
July 29, 2003, in order for this application to proceed. Should no information be received, the application will
be returned as incomplete.
