H Reference: Supplemental As-Built Information for Brush Creek Mitigation Area II Piedmont Triad International Airport Greensboro, North Carolina USACE Action ID 200021655, DWQ # 00-0846 ECS Project No. 09-12666C Dear Mr. Thomas: On March 23, 2009, ECS Carolinas, LLP (ECS) submitted As-Built Information for Brush Creek Mitigation Areas I, 11, and 111. The attached "Topographic Survey" is meant to supplement our previous submittal. In accordance with Special Conditions "v" of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) permit and "6" of the North Carolina Division of Water Quality (DWQ) permit, the following as-built information is attached: 1. As-Built Topographic Survey Map ECS has been monitoring the hydrology and vegetation within BC II since 2008. We are in the third year of monitoring BC II (2010). ECS previously submitted "As- Built Information" for Brush Creek Mitigation Areas I, II and III in March 2009 (Cover Letter dated March 23, 2009). As was specified in the original documents, construction of Brush Creek Mitigation Area II was completed with the exception of the erosion control berm that was to be removed once herbaceous vegetation was sufficiently established and approved by the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Land Quality. The vegetation was determined to be sufficiently established in Spring 2010 and the berm was removed. As specified in the initial cover letter, as-built drawings of BC-II are included as a supplement to the initial As-Built submittal. Due to conditions encountered during construction, the size of the wetland was altered as necessary. The following alteration was made: • Based on the permit, the created wetlands in BC II were to be 5.3 acres in area. After the berm was removed, the actual amount of wetland is calculated to be 9.50 acres (less 0.6 acres for USACE Action ID # SAW200641354241 and DWQ # 00- 1632). 4811 Koger Boulevard e Greensboro, NC 27407 • T: 336-856-7150 , F: 336-856-7160 • www.ecs[imited.com ECS Carolinas, LLP • ECS Florida, LLC • ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC . As determined by the survey following construction, 6.6 acres of wetland have been restored, 9.50 acres of wetland have been created and 450 linear feet of stream have been restored.
