HomeMy WebLinkAbout20080797 Ver 2_DCM Permit_201003010E- CJzq -7 Permit Class MODIFICATION/NIINOR STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Permit Number 157-04 Coastal Resources Commission Jhrmit for X Major Development in an Area of Environmental Concern pursuant to NCGS 113A-118 X Excavation and/or filling pursuant to NCGS 113-229 Issued to NCDOT Ferry Division 8550 Shipyard Road Martins Harbor, NC 27953 Authorizing development in Dare County at Woodall Way (SR 1276), Hatteras, Proposed Ferry Dormitory as requested in the permittee's application letter dated 2/9/10, including the attached workplan drawing (1) dated as received on 2/10/10. This permit, issued on 2/24110 is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations, special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may he, .subiect to fines. imvrisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void. 1) Unless specifically altered herein, this minor modification authorizes the installation of a portion of a 6" water line by cutting a 2-foot wide x 100-foot long ditch instead of directionally boring the entire length of pipe, as depicted on the attached workplan drawing. 2) The N.C. Division of Water Quality (DWQ) authorized the proposed project on 2/16/10 (DWQ Project No. 20080797 v.2) under a modification to General Water Quality Certification No. 003744. Any violation of the Certification approved by DWQ shall be considered a violation of this CAMA permit. NOTE: This project will temporarily impact approximately 500 square feet of wetlands, including approximately 3 square feet of CAMA Coastal Wetlands. (See attached sheet for Additional Conditions) This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. An appeal requires resolution prior to work initiation or continuance as the case may be. This permit must be accessible on-site to Department personnel when the project is inspected for compliance. J Any maintenance work or project modification not covered hereunder requires further Division approval. All work must cease when the permit expires on December 31, 2012 In issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina agrees that your project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program. Department of Transportation ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS Permit #157-09 Page 2 of 2 3) There shall be no resultant change in preconstruction contours. ;4) This permit does not eliminate the need to obtain any additional permits, approvals or authorizations that may be required. 5) .-THis minor modification and renewal shall be attached to the original of Permit No. 157-04, which was issued on 10/13/04, as well as all subsequent modifications, renewals and letters of refinement, and copies of all documents shall be readily available on site when a Division representative inspects the project for compliance. 6) All conditions and stipulations of the active permit remain in force under this minor modification and renewal unless altered herein. NOTE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers authorized this project on 2/10/10 as a modification to the Individual Permit (Action ID No. SAW-2008-01437). NOTE: The expiration date of this permit has been extended in accordance with Session Law 2009-406.
