Dear Mr. Sideris:
Eric Fleek of my staff has reviewed the proposed 2011 biological study plan for the Roxboro Steam
Electric Plant. Based on this review, we have no objections to the programs proposed for monitoring, nor
their frequency or location. In addition, we concur with your proposed water chemistry monitoring
variables.
In closing, I wish to apologize for tardiness of this review process. Initially, the documents were misplaced
at our Mail Service Center and then after Progress Energy supplied replacement PDF documents; these
were then mishandled by Mr. Fleek all of which lead to the delay. Corrective actions have been
implemented with our Mail Service Center. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact
