Hi Heather,
In accordance with 15A NCAC 02B .0267(5) only a certified individual can make an on -site determination to exempt a
feature that appears on the map for one of the reasons listed in (5). Unfortunately David's call that it is a wetland would
not suffice, you will need to show it as a wetland for the 404/401 purposes and a buffered stream for the buffer
approval.

Hi Sue,
Quick question (see screenshot below): On one of the recent streams that Dave has asked us to convert to a PEM
wetland finger, we had a buffered stream there as it is shown on the published soil survey maps. If it is considered to be
wetland, should we remove the buffer?

Hi Heather,
See below the screen shot of the resource we have a question about because it falls within the Jordan Watershed. Dave
Bailey has asked for S-C18-4 to be turned into a 5' wetland and we have made it into a PEM wetland that attaches to the
original delineated wetland.
This stream is present on the Soil Survey Maps and the Zone 2 buffer falls within the workspace. The question is can we
exclude this stream because it is now a wetland or do we have to run it for our Jordan mitigation calcs?
