SECRETARY ?' - Wake County Dear Mr. Clark: This Office has reviewed the information submitted on December 30, 1998 relevant to the subject property and I conducted a site visit for the above referenced project. This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 99-009. It was determined that the unnamed tributary to Coles Branch, indicated on the Wake County Soils Map, is an intermittent stream and therefore subject to the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233). I The stream has been delineated on the map received by this Office December 31, 1998 and the area applicable to protection under the Neuse Buffer Rules begins at flag 100 B and continues off of the property. Please be reminded that the riparian buffer is protected in two zones totaling fifty feet of protection. In r accordance with the Rule, sheet flow from stormwater must be maintained, to the maximum extent practical, 4through dispersing concentrated flow and/or re-establishment of vegetation to maintain the efficacy of the riparian area. "Thank you for your attention to this matter and if this Office can be of any assistance or if you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
