MVP Southgate Pipeline — 401 Water Quality Certification Application

BACKGROUND:
Mountain Valley, LLC (MVP) has applied to the N.C. Division of Water Resources (DWR) for a 401
Water Quality Certification and Buffer Authorization (Project 420181638 v3). MVP is proposing
to install approximately 47.4 miles of transmission pipeline and accessories in Rockingham and
Alamance counties. This proposed project will permanently impact 0.02 acres of jurisdictional
wetlands, and temporarily impact 17,726.29 linear feet of jurisdictional streams and 13.95 acres
of jurisdictional wetlands.
HOW TO SUBMIT COMMENTS:
The public is invited to comment in writing on the application described above, as well as speak
at the hearing. Written comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. December 20, 2019 to be
considered.
