Division of Water Resources (DWR) for a 401 Water Quality Cer- tification and Buffer Authorization, pursuant to Section 401 of the Fed- eral Clean Water Act and Title 15A NCAC 02H .0500, and 02B .0267. In accordance with the application sub- mitted on August 14, 2019, Mountain Valley, LLC is seeking the certifica- tion to permanently impact 0.02 acres of 404 jurisdictional wetlands, and temporarily impact 17,726.29 linear feet of jurisdictional streams, 6538 square feet of jurisdictional open waters, and 13.95 acres of 404 jurisdictional wetlands. These im- pacts will occur because Mountain Valley, LLC wants to install approxi- mately 4.3 miles of 24-inch diameter pipeline, approximately 42.7 miles of 16-inch diameter pipeline, and ap- purtenances in Rockingham and Ala- mance Counties. The public is hereby notified that DWR will hold a public hearing from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Novem- ber 19, 2019 at the Rockingham Community College advanced Tech- nologies Auditorium, located at 215 Wrenn Memorial Rd. in Wentworth, NC. Sign -in and speaker registration will begin at 5 p.m. DWR is unable to guarantee that there will be enough time to hear comments from all peo- ple who register to speak. The pur- pose of this public hearing is to allow interested persons to submit oral and/or written comments regarding the 401 Water Quality Certification application submitted to DWR. The public is also invited to com- ment in writing on the application. Written comments must be received by DWR no later than 5 p.m. on Fri- day December 20, 2019.
