This process manufactured DUPont(TM) Teflon(R) using carbon dioxide as the solvent. The only reference of this production facility in the subject permit is in Page 1 FW NPDES Permit NC0003573 -- Notification of PMDF Shutdown section 3 of the supplement to Permit cover sheet, which authorizes DuPont Lo discharge the treated wastewater from PMDF. I believe that this process shutdown should not necessitate the reopening of the NPDES Permit to remove the PMDF reference in the above section, and that instead this change could be made at the next modification of the permit. Please let me know if you disagree with this statement. Thanks, Mike Michael E.
