In accordance with Part II of the above reference Stormwater Permit Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC is
hereby notifying DEQ in writing that former Stormwater Outfall 001/001A has been deemed an effluent
channel, therefore monitoring requirements for storm water activity will no longer apply. Effluent
channel designation was determined by NCDEQ and noted in the NPDES Waste Water Permit
NCO004987 as Outfall 102. Monitoring will continue per Waste Water Permit requirements effective
10/1/2016. See attached map showing Storm Water Outfall, Waste Water Outfall and Effluent Channel.
Please direct any correspondence or questions concerning the Marshall Steam Station NPDES Permitting
and Compliance to Brad Loveland @ 704-609-5637.
