Dear Ms. McMillan:
ECS Southeast, LLP (ECS) is pleased to provide you with this Monitoring Well Abandonment Report. The project area is located at 100 and 122 East Stonewall Street & 615 South Tryon
Street in Charlotte, North Carolina (Figure 1).
In order to proceed with construction activities, the onsite monitoring wells needed to be properly abandoned. The locations of the site monitoring wells are included as Figure 2.
On December 15, 2017, ECS subcontracted 3-D Environmental, a North Carolina Licensed Well
Driller, to abandon four monitoring wells and four piezometers. The four piezometers (PZ-1
through PZ-4, installed in 2017) were located in the large parking lot along with two monitoring wells (MW-1 and MW-2, installed in 2014). Two monitoring wells (TW-1 installed in 2013, and a
pre-existing well with no well information tag) were located on the former Goodyear property.
The monitoring wells/piezometers were abandoned according to state regulations. The Well Abandonment Records are attached.
