Foster AMEC Inc. 2801 Yorkmont Road, Suite 100 Charlotte, NC 28208 Rob.Foster@amec.com Subject: Approval for Vapor Mitigation System Construction Package Atherton Mill Units 75, 80, Corridor 100 North 2000 South Blvd. Charlotte, Mecklenburg County Brownfields Project Number 10047-06-060 Dear Mr. Foster: On February 9, 2015, the North Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR) received a Vapor Mitigation System Construction Design for Units 75 and 80 at the above referenced site. This expanded submittal is based on the January 13, 2015 Vapor Mitigation Plan and our site meeting on January 21, 2015. An addendum was received on February 17, 2015, to include Corridor 100 North of Unit 80. The work plans are approved with the following clarification, Phase 1D will not be occupied until the indoor air samples have been collected and are below risk based indoor air concentrations as approved by DENR. Be advised that this approval from the Brownfields Program does not waive any applicable requirement to obtain any necessary permits, licenses or certifications for the above listed activities nor does it waive any requirement to comply with applicable law for such activities.
