Use of groundwater or surfacewater was not observed. However, water storage noted within gated perimeter (see photos). Exposed soils were not observed. Prohibited bulk chemical storage was not observed. Property is not open to public ingress and egress. Property is fenced and gated. Parking lot is asphalt capped and remains in good repair. Contact was established with Mr. Bentley Kung, Operation Mgr. Mr. Kung was unaware of the brownfields agreement and/or the requirements to submit a LURU. Communication with Mr. Kung was difficult due to a language barrier. Two photos are attached below, one showing the entrance into the property and one showing a water containment unit (aboveground pool) on the west side of building at 1016 Montana. No LUR violations observed during visit. In addition, recorded quitclaim deed for current owner (East Best, LLC) is not compliant with NCGS 130A-310.35(d).
