Good Morning Mr. Schmithorst,
Attached are two photos that brought up my questions about the sub-surface.
I called the number listed on one of the 55-gallon drums and connection was not great. We were
both on our cell phones driving. The gentlemen said that he worked for the former owners of the
property that was responsible for monitoring the sub-surface and that they had recently drilled
new monitoring wells around August 21, 2017. The drums contain the soil that was pulled upfrom digging the wells and one drum held the first water that came up.
They are required to test the soil and water and store the drums. He mentioned that the
information that they had was not on the Brownfield site and that he was not working for HartHickman. Ms. Harriger was kind enough to send me the link to the Laserfisch web link andI just wanted to make sure that I am looking in the correct file directory for their water sampling
information.
At first, he mentioned that he worked for Meridian but then corrected himself and told me thathe went back to prior owners.
Thank you for replying to me first thing this morning. My 12-year-old son who is in the 8th grade has a good friend that lives on Linestowe Rd and
they ride their skateboards on the roads and play near this area.
I will review the full Laserfiche on Belmont Dyers and hopefully located the information that hementioned on the phone Friday. 8-55 gallon drums on site brought up the question and sent methese pictures.

Good morning Mr. Neuman,
The environmental reports can be found in the following link:
http://edocs.deq.nc.gov/WasteManagement
When you access the Laserfiche welcome page from the above link, enter Belmont Dyers in the
search field. You will then find reports going back to the 1990s. I would suggest that after accessing
Belmont Dyers on Laserfiche to go to page 4. There are a number of reports including groundwater
sampling reports, environmental investigation reports, and the Phase I report. The Phase I report
(filename: 20094_Belmont_Dyers_Phase_I_ESA_20161026) provides a comprehensive history of
the site. It is also helpful to look under the column title “Description” in Laserfiche to find a brief
description of the types of documents found in the individual files.
Please let me know if you have difficulty accessing files through the link provided.
Best Regards,
Bill Schmithorst, P.G.
