As requested, I visited the Former ATS Manufacturing Property located at Highway 312 and
Rankin Lake Road in Gastonia, NC. During my visit on February 7, 2009, I saw that the site had
been partially redeveloped. A Hardees Restaurant had recently been built and recently opened
(actual opening date unknown). New infrastructure has been put in place on the property such
as roads, storm drains and a retention pond. The undeveloped graded land has been seeded
with vegetation to prevent erosion from run off. I have uploaded twelve site photos into I-beam
depicting current site conditions. In addition, during my research on the property prior to
visiting it, I learned that the current property owner is CW Smith, not the Prospective
Developer, WDL holdings, LLC, isted on the recorded Brownfields Agreement on September
24, 2007. A copy of the tax records have also been uploaded into I-beam. If you have additional
