Dear Ms. Woods:

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) has reviewed the
Chadbourn Mill Site Brownfields Assessment Work Plan received January 25, 2017. The
Department approves the proposed work plan with the following condition:

 The NCDEQ Brownfields Section Project Manager, Bill Schmithorst, shall be notified 48
hours prior to removal of the machine shop floor slab and proposed machine shop soil
screening activities.
