Dear Mr. Shott:

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality {NCDEQ} is in receipt of the Brownfields
Property Application (BPA) submitted on behalf of Team Carolina Marine, Inc., as Prospective Developer,
seeking entry into the North Carolina brownfields program. Your application will be reviewed as soon as
possible to determine if it is eligible.

NCDEQ is also in receipt of the expedited Brownfields fee of $30,000.00 {Check Number 3957} from
Diamonback Development, LLC, for the Redevelopment Now Program. The check will be deposited
immediately, but if the program determines the project is ineligible, a refund check will be issued upon
written request.

Make sure to include the Project Number or Project Name on all future correspondence for identification
purposes. Regarding the submittal of future reports, the program request all reports to be submitted on
CD that is not password protected. Thank you for your interest in the Brownfields Program.
