The North Carolina Division of Waste Management (DWM) is currently assessing the petroleum contamination caused by underground storage tanks formerly operated at the referenced site. An access agreement to allow DWM or its representative to enter the property to collect water samples from your well is attached for your signature. The samples will be tested for the presence of volatile organic compounds and the results will reviewed to determine the appropriate use of the water. If the water is unfit for any residential use, the DWM will provide an alternative water supply.
