Bill,
Please find the attached Brownfields Work Plan for the Colwick Road property.
Assessment activities include the collection of soil, groundwater, and soil vapor
samples across the site. Additionally, we are proposing to conduct a Brownfields
Receptor Survey during completion of the assessment activities.
Let us know if you have any comments/concerns. We tentatively have a driller lined up
for the second week of December.
Thanks,

Bill,
Hope you had a great weekend! We’ve made progress on the assessment work plan for
this site and wanted to gage our proposed scope of work so we can better tailor the
final draft we submit to your liking. I’ve attached a figure demonstrating what we
anticipate to assess in this work plan.
Since the original soil borings only included VOC analyses, we wanted to re-sample
those locations (SB-1 through SB-8) plus analyze for SVOCs/RCRA metals. Also included
a couple extra sample locations for soil characterization (SB-9 and SB-10). Additional
assessment locations include upgradient (TMW-1 through TMW-3) and downgradient
(TMW-4 through TMW-6) temporary well sampling and soil vapor sampling (SG-1
through SG-6) beneath the perceived footprint of the future multi-story structure.
Let us know if you have any input on this scope of work and we can plan to have you a
draft sometime next week. We’re still shooting for field work to take place closer to
Thanksgiving.
Thanks,

Bill – thanks for the follow-up. October 6, either time works well for our team. I’ll pull
together the limited data set we have and forward it to you as instructed. If you’ll send
around an invite, we’ll get it scheduled.

Good morning Jordan – I wanted to pass along a quick update on Fallon’s Colwick
project. Earlier this week, Charlotte approved the zoning request for the Colwick
project. As such, the project will be moving forward with the design and permitting
processes. Concurrent with these development activities, I wanted to see what kind of
timeline we’re on for the additional assessment activities required by the Brownfield
Program. As you recall, this property is slated to be redeveloped with 260 apartments.
I’ve attached a preliminary architectural rendering of what the final project is
anticipated to look like. We’ll prepare a scope of work and RAA work plan for the
additional assessment base on Brownfield requirements. Thanks again for the support
on this project.
With very best regards,
