Gene – On behalf of Univar Solutions, I wanted to let you know that the groundwater pump‐and‐treat system in place at 
the above‐referenced site is temporarily down. Our staff visited the site in late December and determined that the 
compressor fan motor was not working and could not be repaired. A replacement part is on order and, after checking 
with a number of suppliers, it seems like the earliest we can have one in hand would be 8‐10 weeks. We went ahead 
with the semi‐annual sampling event in December, as planned, and will return to the site as soon as practical to repair 
the system once the replacement part arrives. If you have any questions please let me know.   
Also, I wanted to follow up with you on the comments provided in the letter received from Ms. Kromm dated November 
9, 2021 (attached). Her comments are listed below along with responses in green. If you would like to discuss, please let 
me know. 
‐ Collect groundwater samples from recovery wells RW‐1 through RW‐7 to be analyzed for VOCs to determine 
current concentrations since these well have not been sampled since their installation.  
Groundwater samples from recovery wells RW‐1 through RW‐7 were sampled in December 2021 as requested. 
Samples will be analyzed for VOCs in the same manner as other samples collected as part of the semi‐annual 
monitoring program. Results will be provided in the 2021 Annual Monitoring Report upon receipt and validation 
of the analytical data. 
‐ Install a deep monitoring well near RW‐5 to determine whether high concentrations of chlorinated compounds 
have migrated below the depth of monitoring wells VE‐3 (163 feet bgs) and RW‐8 (140 ft bgs) in the source area. 
Univar Solutions is currently looking into both the historical data and well construction/boring logs for these 
wells and will follow up with you on this in the near future. 
‐ Evaluate whether vapor continues to be extracted efficiently from VE‐1 due to the shallow water table elevation 
in the well. Vapors are not extracted from VE‐1. VE‐1 was installed as one of a series of wells to evaluate the 
vertical extent of COCs in groundwater in the vicinity of MW‐11.
