Dear Mr. Hawes: On August 25, 2023, the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Section of the Division of Waste Management (the
Division), Mooresville Regional Office (MRO) received the monitoring well sampling results for the subject site. This information has been reviewed and will remain in the UST Section's files.
Upon review of the file, this office is has determined that this site is eligible for through the Risk-Based Environmental Remediation of Contaminated Sites (NCGS 130A-31.65-310.77). This information has been attached. Shurtape Technologies, LLC should begin this process as soon as possible. The next groundwater sampling event should be conducted in February 2024, with the results received by this office within 30 days of sample collection. The groundwater sample must be submitted to a North Carolina certified laboratory for the appropriate analysis as set forth in the latest edition of the UST Section’s Assessment Guidelines.
