Dear Mr. DeSa: The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Brownfields Redevelopment Section received the Vapor Intrusion Mitigation System (VIMS) Installation Upfit Report- Suite 100 Sunflour Baking Company, Camden NoDa dated June 16, 2023 (Report).
DEQ Brownfields has reviewed the Report and evaluated the analytical data using the DEQ Risk Calculator. The results of this evaluation were below the DEQ thresholds for non-residential use. DEQ Brownfields has found this Report to be in compliance with the Land Use Restrictions for vapor intrusion in the Notice of Brownfields Property for the above referenced projects and the previously approved Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Plan (VIMP). Brownfields anticipates future submittal of sub-slab soil gas data as outlined in the approved VIMP. Please be advised that this approval from DEQ Brownfields does not waive any applicable requirement to obtain
