Good Morning Allison,
I wanted to inform you that we have shut down the remediation system at site 130 and are
beginning to remove the monitoring wells due to the large military construction project taking
place. The hangars (B130, B1700 and B1701) have been removed and with that we are having to
abandon the surrounding monitoring wells. Additionally, a second MILCON is beginning which
involves removing and replacing the utilities along the 6th Avenue corridor and this is also impacting
the Site. We are preparing to send our most recent Periodic Monitoring Report to your office for
the first semester, 2020, and we have included this is in the discussion of impacted sites.
As part of the above mentioned utility replacement project, the corridor running through Site 130
will be dewatered. This groundwater will be captured and treated removing any free product. After
completion of construction of the new Hangar, an assessment will need to be done of Site 130 to
determine what changes may have occurred with regards to the presence of the free product
plume.
After you review the PMR, please let me know if you need any additional information or
documentation from our office.
Thank you,
Elizabeth
