Box 35630 Fayetteville, NC 28303 RE: Laboratory Analytical Report and Health Risk Evaluation Water Supply Well Sample WSW-2A at the Jones Small Engine Repair Property located at 4800 Bragg Boulevard in Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina NCDENR - DWM - UST Section - State Lead Program - Incident #29626 Dear Ms. Norcott: The water supply wells designated WSW-2A and WSW-2B, located at the above-referenced property, were sampled on May 4, 2023. The water samples were analyzed for volatile organic compounds by EPA Method 6200B. Based on the analyses performed, one contaminant was detected in the well water of WSW-2A. Based on that detection, a Health Risk Evaluation (HRE) was performed for sample WSW-2A. Based on the HRE determination there are no restrictions on the use of the water at this time. No contaminants were above the laboratory detection limits in the well water of WSW-2B, therefore an HRE was not necessary. If necessary, the Department will continue to sample your wells provided permission is granted to do so. Should you have any questions concerning this letter or the State Lead Program’s investigation and monitoring program of the petroleum release, please contact Kristie Oseguera at (919) 707-8169.
