Removal of a 12,000-gallon diesel UST during the week of January 23, 2023. Consultant originally sent in
an ePATA for the soil excavation of 120 tons of soil, sampling, and reporting because they thought there
was a previous incident at the site. After researching this site it was determined that there is no previous
incident with risk assessment.
Incident #20189 occurred on the adjoining property which may or may not have once been the same
parcel; addresses have changed so that’s hard to determine. Tanks at both properties shared a facility ID
in the past but a second facility ID was created for the tanks associated with incident #20189. Incident
#20189 was closed with further soil assessment. There was no soil excavation or groundwater sampling.
Risk assessment was not conducted at this site.
Three tanks were previously removed from the same parcel as this tank pull but there were no
detections in the soil samples so an incident was not created. This tank pull is recorded as WS-1401 in
RUST.
The consultant was advised that they could request up to 800 tons of soil for the tank removal because
this is a site without a previous incident.
