This scope of work was completed in accordance with North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources correspondence dated August 7, 2014. Task authorization 10679-22 was approved on November 18, 2014. Ground water monitoring activities were conducted in order to obtain ground water quality data for wells historically impacted by free product. On December 3, 2014, monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2A, and MW-8A were gauged (Figure 3). Free product was present in MW-8A during the gauging event. Sorbent socks were re-installed in MW-1 and MW-8A. A summary of well construction and gauging data is presented in Table 1. Laboratory analyses were performed on the ground water samples collected from MW-1 and MW- 2A for volatile organic compounds using EPA Method 6200B. Concentrations of BTEX constituents, MTBE, and naphthalene that exceeded the maximum allowable concentrations (MACs) specified in T15A NCAC 2L.0202 were reported in the ground water samples. None of the reported concentrations exceeded the gross contamination levels (GCLs). A summary of ground water sample analytical results is presented in Table 2. A complete copy of the laboratory report has been included in Appendix A.
