Dear Ms. Pedley:
The subject Monitoring Report received by the UST Section, Division of Waste Management,
Wilmington Regional Office on December 21, 2022 has been reviewed. The UST Section is in general
agreement with the conclusions and recommendations proposed.
As risk-based closure is not being pursued, additional groundwater monitoring and reporting events
should be completed. At this time the DWM requests that groundwater monitoring and reporting activities be
continued on an annual basis. The next Monitoring Report should be submitted to the Division no later than
January 1, 2024.
Please note that before you sell, transfer, or request a “No Further Action” determination for a property
that has not been remediated to below “unrestricted use” standards, you must file a NRP with the Register of
Deeds in the county where the property is located (NCGS 143B-279.9 and 143B-279.11).
