Dear Mayor Adams:

As a follow up to our letter dated October 13, 2022 Martin & Slagle GeoSciences, PA (MSGS) is
providing this notification to you regarding a change in operation of the groundwater recovery
and treatment system operated by Crown Food Mart located at 272 Rodney Orr Bypass,
Robbinsville, NC.

The system was shut down for a six-week period ending Thursday, December 8, 2022 at which
time it was restarted. It will continue to operate until site data is evaluated and a final decision is
made as to whether it should remain in operation or can be shut down permanently.
